To get rid of belly fat, you will need to put forth effort, but not the kind where you practically kill yourself to do it. There is no magic in losing belly fat, but these tips might help.

Reduce your caloric intake. Try a diet in which you consume 2200 calories (men) or 2000 calories (women) per day. This should cause a deficit sufficient for you to lose one or two pounds per week, depending on your activity level.

Target stress. Find ways to relax and get enough sleep.

Drink plenty of water. Drink water before and after each meal. It fills you up so you won't be as hungry, then after it also helps your body flush out toxins and improves your overall health.

Get exercise. Work your lower ab muscles to strengthen the muscle wall and burn belly fat. Engage in moderate-intensity physical activity for at least 150 minutes each week. Walking, jogging, biking and dancing are great options. 

The real secret to losing belly fat is to lose weight on a balanced, calorie-controlled diet and exercise at least an hour a day.
